Before you begin your trip to ZenTera, call ahead to the Lund water and land taxi, to ensure your travel across the water and on the island to ZenTera
Vancouver to Powel River:
- Drive to Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal:
From Downtown Vancouver, it's about a 30-minute drive along the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1). As you drive out of the city, you'll pass through the lush forests and rugged cliffs of West Vancouver with occasional glimpses of Howe Sound-a deep blue fjord surrounded by steep moutain peaks.
- Horseshoe Bay to Langdale Ferry:
The ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale on the Sunshine Coast takes about 40 minutes. The ferry crosses Howe Sound, offering spectacular views of the water, forested islands, and coastal mountains, Keep an eye out for, seals, dolphins, and even orcas if you're lucky.
- Drive from Langdale to Earls Cove:
Once you disembark in Langdale, you'll follow Highway 101 north. This drive takes about 1.5 hours and winds through the Sunshine Coast, a region famous for its scenic costal views, small towns, and dense forests. You'll pass charming communities like Roberts Creek, Sechelt, and Pender Harbour, each with its own unique views and atmosphere.
- Earls Cove to Saltery Bay Ferry:
The second ferry ride between Earls Coe and Saltery Bay takes around 50 minutes. As you sail across Jervis Inlet, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking fjord landscapes with steep, forested hillsides plunging into the water. The serene scenery is especially stunning at sunset.
Powel River to Lund:
Now From Powel River follow Highway 101 North toward Lund, a beautiful 20-kilometer (about 12 miles) drive. As you leave Powel River, the highway meanders through lush coastal forests, offering glimpses of the sparkling Malaspina Strait to your right. On clear days, you can see Texada Island across the water, and the surrounding mountain ranges add a majestic Backdrop to your Journey.
- Lund to ZenTera:
Catch a Water Taxi from Lund Harbour: This is the quickest and most conveninet way to reach Savary Island. As you depart from the charming village of Lund, take in the views of the marina and surrounding islands. The water taxi ride lasts about approximately 15 minutes.
Land taxi driver will pick you up at Savary Wharf, then you will be dropped off at 1213 Sunset Trail (ZenTera).
